Good Afternoon,

Disappointed to have to send this e-mail but the forecast for tomorrow looks downright awful with three to five inches of snow being projected and wind chills in the upper 20's for the time we had hoped to hold our Opening Day Ceremonies and First Pitch Fundraiser. Our fundraising team and various volunteers have dedicated countless hours preparing for what we'd hoped would be a fun and exciting start of the season for Chester Valley Little League. None of us could have predicted that we would be getting blasted with snow the second Saturday of April.

With all of this in mind, we have decided to cancel tomorrow's events at the Monument Avenue Complex. The Silent Auction items will be moved to an online format; we hope to have this up and running by the end of the weekend with items closing by Friday of next week. We will send another e-mail when this is ready to go and include information on how to take part. We are still hoping for a good turnout for our auction items for the 2016 season.

We would still like to have some sort of CVLL Ceremony that would include the teams marching onto the field with the banners that our team coordinators took the time to create. In addition, we would like to honor our new inductees to the Hall of Fame. Details on this are being discussed on how to best fit such a day into our calendar this spring. We hope to reach a decision on this as soon as possible.

Team photos from last week have been rescheduled for next Saturday, April 16th. The schedule should be out by Monday. Coaches and directors will be in contact tomorrow about game cancellations and rescheduling.

Thank you for your continued support of Chester Valley as we make our way through the start of the season. Keep an eye out for an email regarding our First Pitch Fundraiser Silent Auction.

Sincerely,

Grant Blackburn, President
and
